Look at each letter: a dot helps identify i, a taller crossed stem helps identify t, and two short downstrokes help identify u. Join bodies before adding marks.

Worked example

The connected word it has i followed by t. Tutu has t, u, t, u. A tutu is a dance skirt.

Model words it and tutu, a gray tracing row and blank writing guides. The letters connect within each word, with a larger gap between words.
Read every letter. Keep joins within a word and leave a word space.

Try it on paper

Trace the gray words. Cover the model and write both on the blank guides. Leave a gap between words. Ask a helper to check joins and marks separately; quiz choices do not grade handwriting or fluency.
