Read whether each stated drawn tile is returned or kept out. Count only the remaining tiles for the next probability. If the bag still contains tiles but none match, that result has chance zero. If there are no tiles left, there is no next draw: do not invent a probability with denominator zero. Each question starts from its own stated bag.

Worked example

A separate bag has 2 stars and 1 circle. Keep both stars out: the remaining circle makes the next star chance 0/1 = 0. Keep that final circle out too and the bag is empty. Now drawing any tile is unavailable; 0/0 is not a probability.

A sequence starts with one star and three circles. Keeping the star out leaves three circles. Keeping those three circles out leaves an empty bag with no next draw.
Follow the stated removals. An empty bag is different from a nonempty bag containing no stars.
Question 1 Start with 1 star and 3 circles. The star is drawn and KEPT OUT. What is the next star chance?
Question 2 Reset to 1 star and 3 circles. Two circles are drawn and KEPT OUT. What is the next star chance?
Question 3 Reset to 1 star and 3 circles. A circle is drawn and RETURNED. What is the next circle chance?
Question 4 A bag started with four tiles. All four have now been drawn and KEPT OUT. What can be said about a next draw?
Question 5 A separate bag has 2 stars and 2 circles. A star is drawn. Which comparison of next star chances is correct?
