Coefficients in a balanced reaction give relative amounts in moles. The ratio assumes the stated reactant is limiting, the other is sufficient and conversion is complete. A mole ratio is not automatically a gram ratio. Paper chemistry only.

Worked example

For N2 + 3 H2 -> 2 NH3, 3 mol H2 can yield 2 mol NH3 with sufficient N2 and complete conversion.

For N2 + 3 H2 -> 2 NH3, 3 mol H2 can yield 2 mol NH3 with sufficient N2 and complete conversion.
For N2 + 3 H2 -> 2 NH3, 3 mol H2 can yield 2 mol NH3 with sufficient N2 and complete conversion.
