Uneven heating can change density and redistribute atmospheric air. A pressure-gradient force points toward lower pressure. Real winds also depend on rotation, friction and existing motion. Heating a rigid sealed container is not the same setup as heating the open atmosphere.

Worked example

In the daytime sea-breeze example, near-surface flow is toward warmer land. In a rigid sealed container with fixed gas amount, raising absolute temperature instead raises pressure. Always identify the conditions.

Near the surface air flows from sea to warmer land, rises over land, returns toward sea aloft and descends over water. This schematic circulation is not a forecast.
