Capitalize the names of people and places, the days of the week, and the months of the year. An ordinary word such as park stays lowercase unless it starts a sentence or is part of a specific name.

Worked example

'leo visits on monday in april.' becomes 'Leo visits on Monday in April.' Leo is a person's name; Monday and April name a day and a month.

A name tag reads Ravi. A calendar shows the month August and the day Friday. Each name starts with a capital.
People, days, and months have names: Ravi, Friday, August.
