A research summary should preserve the design, observed result and important limitations. Distinguish what was recorded from what the writer hopes to explain. Uncertainty is information, not a defect to edit away. These summaries are fictional exercises.
Worked example
A report of 9 successful attempts out of 12 observed attempts cannot honestly become universal success after unsuccessful cases are omitted.
Original fiction: A Pilot with a Narrow Outcome
A fictional pilot compared two layouts with 24 volunteers randomly assigned in equal groups. Under one supervised task, ten people using Layout A and seven using Layout B found the requested control within ninety seconds. The report supplies no repeated-task or long-term results and no uncertainty analysis. It recommends a larger evaluation rather than claiming that A is superior for every user or every task.
