A stanza is a group of lines in a poem, often separated from other groups by space. Stanzas need not all have the same length or rhyme. These planning puzzles specify equal groups solely to practice a chosen form.

Worked example

Three stanzas of four lines make twelve lines. That plan does not require every poem to have twelve lines.

Two groups of three horizontal line marks, separated by a gap, illustrate stanza grouping. The diagram demonstrates one chosen structure, not a requirement that every poem use it.
