A grid can help transfer locations without tracing an existing artwork. Scale corresponding cell positions using the destination cell size. Use your own design; a mechanical transfer is a tool, not a substitute for intentional composition.

Worked example

If one small-grid cell becomes 3 cm in the enlarged grid, a span of 4 cells becomes 12 cm.

A portrait rectangle with ratio two to three is enlarged to four to six. Both width and height double, preserving proportion. Labeled values define the plan; screen resizing changes physical ruler measurements.
